"On July 18 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m. In Georgetown Ontario my husband & I saw a strange phenomenon in the night sky. I saw it first & called my husband to witness the sight. We were standing at the back of house on Wildwood Rd....on the deck, facing North West. There are large hedges & fir trees & house backs on to farm fields.
It had been a very hot humid day & was a warm evening with a very clear sky. One could see in the northern sky planes heading west from Tor. Airport. Lights & white flashing light quite visible.
Looking up we saw..coming from the South Western sky many " Golden star shaped or 4 pointed lights" One point appeared different in that it had a small whitish light at tip. There was no visible shape dark or otherwise around the lights. They appeared to us no bigger than dinner plates & also did not seem to be extremely high in the sky....not as high as the planes. They shone like indoor church lights or driveway lights & were not in any organized formation but moved silently & smoothly along a path of about 20 ft. In width. They kept space between them although some were in clusters, but one moved right next to another then drifted apart.
In all we probably saw 70 or so lights. They headed at about 20 m.p.h. To the North East. We lost sight as they went over a neighbours roof top. The whole sighting lasted about 10 mins. But we had discovered it in progress.
We are curious to know if anyone else saw this unusual sight & I consider sending this letter to the Georgetown newspaper. "
One of our reader's wrote to us on July 28th 2015 with the following:
"I just found your website. Astonished to see a July report as I am on a farm just west of Georgetown, and have seen several times this summer a craft very high altitude acting very unplanelike. Also I recently noticed large planes likely from Toronto's airport taking a new path west over our farm."
