Sauble Falls ON  August 15th 2011 Approx 10pm

 

"My family and I were camping in Sauble Falls Provincial Park and it was around 10 pm or so, my girlfriend had just left our campsite to go take a shower, then I was sitting with my son looking towards the south and I happened to catch out of the corner of my eye an orange/auburn ball of light going over 80km/hr (I'm guessing) . I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  It must of been about 200 ft above the tree line and about a half kilometer away.At first I thought it was maybe one of those Chinese floating lanterns, but, I rationed that it couldn't of been one, due to the fact that the orb like light was going against the wind.  And if it was a Chinese floating lantern then it wouldn't of moved in a perfect straight line.  It would bounce or bob around a bit if it was, and would not fly in a straight line.  I watched it for about 10 to 15 sec before I lost track of it as it flew over the Sauble River.I can't explain any of this.  It didn't scare me at all I was just amazed at what I saw.  My son also seen the object in the sky after I pointed it out to him.  I don't know if anyone that night saw the same thing and could maybe explain it to me what it was? All I know I wasn't seeing things, because my son saw it too.It's too bad that it happened so fast that I didn't have time to grab the camera and shoot a video, or at least take a picture."
