Toronto ON   October 10th 2010 11:22 approx

"A friend and I were pulling out of an apartment driveway and going N into a street, when I caught a moving star-like object from windshield; object was at a high altitude and seen above a 20+ story office building in horizon. "Star" just zipped from top of windshield POV and "fell" northwards, suddenly vanishing just as it approached roof of office building. Speed was estimated to be at least 250 km/h (flew very fast), but had no trail whatsoever during its flight. The sky was clear that evening, and there was no reflection from the windshield in my line of sight. Office building is about 1 km from our position. I immediately told my friend, who was driving and may have caught a glimpse of it, but dismissed it as being a regular plane. I spoke with another friend whom I met with soon after, at a party in the neighborhood, and he told me he saw the same thing from his balcony, same approximate time, but described it as a "comet" with an orange light and moved very fast, same direction northbound. CAn't remember if he mentioned any visible trail from object at all. This was the second time I had this experience. First time around was about a year ago; saw it from my room's window, and it was nighttime as well. I thought it was a plane, until it disappeared into the sky as it flew overhead towards me. No trail, just the "plane" in question."

Our thanks to the witness for sharing this experience with us.
