Stoney Creek ON

Summer 1994

I live on the escarpment in Stoney Creek, Ontario. I was with my dad and my older brother outside looking at the stars, a common thing for us to do on a clear summer night. I was looking towards the south-east when I saw an orange light flying slowly towards the north-east. Its movements were very irregular. It would go fast at times and slow at others, going in an irregular zig-zag pattern across the sky. When the light reached the north-east (probably about where Lake Ontario starts) I took off very quickly and disappeared. I'm not sure how up it was, but from where I stood it looked like an orange streetlight floating through the sky. There were no flashing lights. It could not have been a plane or helicopter. I don't think it was space debris because it most likely would have burned up much more quickly and wouldn't have been so strange in speed and path across the sky. However, I may be wrong. I believe I saw a UFO, but I wouldn't be disappointed if someone gave me a logical explanation.

Our personal thanks to the witness for this report.
