On Saturday, April 17, 2002, at 12:30 p.m, the male witness was on his lunch break at his workplace near the intersection of Montreal and St. Laurent  Roads in Ottawa, when he spotted a strange object approaching. "I was on my lunch break at 12:30 p.m.," he reported, "I looked up to see what looked like a small airplane coming from the northeast. As it got closer, I noticed that it  was oval-shaped and changing colour from black to silver. It was rolling or rocking side to side as it changed colour. It was travelling about 300 feet (90 meters) high as it flew behind a cloud and disappeared."
