Sudbury Ontario November 17th 2009 7:20pm

"Around 7:20 pm on Nov 17th i was standing outside in queens athletic field off of elm/regent and I seen in the east a bright globe( purest white I have seen) about the size of a dime if you covered it at about a foot away from your face. Then there was a flash of bright white then red it left a trail but wasn't like a comets that looked kinda like tracks for a milla second it felt and was just simply gone trail and globe. I feel crazy about typing this but I have never seen anything in my 32 years on this earth that looked like that in the night time sky and I was in the astronomy club in school."

Our thanks to the witness for sharing this experience with us. If you feel you may have had a UFO encounter in Ontario please contact us. Your privacy will be protected, and confidentiality is assured.

Please note that Tuesday morning saw what some astronomers predict is the peak of the 2009 Leonid Meteor Shower, which can be viewed around the world from November 13-20th.

The description and duration of sighting entered at 8 seconds leads us to believe this is most likely Leonid related.
