Peterborough, Ontario UFO Report 1964 or 65

When I was a boy my family would vacation in Peterborough, Canada. I'd say it was around 1964 or 65. I was 6 or 7 years old. I remember it being a simple farm house with cows, goats and pigs. My father was out in the yard and yelled to us to come outside. Holy shit is what said when I saw that enormous silvery white disc in the sky hovering over the field. The two of us just stared up at it until it quietly left the area and disappeared into the clouds. My dad passed away 17 years ago and we never talked about the incident regretfully. Do you have any knowledge of a sighting in that area around that time? Would love to know if I made the whole thing up in my head or not. We never went back to that house after that summer.
