English River ON                                                        

Nov 1993 7am. cold/clear sky.
 
While hunting in English River, 2 hours west of Thunder Bay. I was driving my truck very slowly,(10km/h) accompanied by my father in law. We where looking for moose. As we approached a straight stretch of Sawden Lake road, directly in front of us (100 yards) 2 discs of light exited slowly from the left side (from the trees) horizontally, they stopped in the middle of the road for 3-5 seconds and then they took off in the sky at an unbelievable speed, arching toward 1 O'clock.

The discs where approx 2-3 meters in diameter. standing perfectly one on top of another on their edges. (top or bottom of the discs facing us). The lower one about 2-3 feet from the ground, the upper one about 2 feet from the one below. They exited very slowly and silently. They stopped in the center for a few seconds and then they flew off so fast that I could not follow them with my eyes, all I could see was a faint light arching toward 1 O'clock. The discs where very, very bright, but did not hurt looking at them. The color was "intense white" like a neon light but much brighter. They had some "shimmer" around the edges but minimal. They were perfectly synchronized. They did not make any noise. Both me and my father in law saw exactly the same thing.
