Belleville ON  September 10th 2011  11pm

"Between 10 and 11 p.m. September 10, 2011, four of us were sitting outside my mom's highrise apartment, talking, when a "star" caught my attention out of the corner of my eye due to its brightness. I pointed it out to my brother beside me who initially just brushed it off.I continued to watch it for a several minutes, as it appeared to be blinking. After about 10 minutes had passed, I observed that it had remained completely stationary, but also blinking red, green, and white lights. Sometimes one colour would appear more dominant. The blinking wasn't intermittent like aircraft, but more unpredictable and at varying intensities. My mom and a friend were the other two sitting in a bench across from us, and I directed their attention to what I was seeing. She had an older video camera upstairs which I decided to retrieve out of curiosity. It has 64X zoom, which I maxed when I was able to focus on it. With this aid, it was clear that were different colours blinking and that this was no star. The unsteadiness of my hand did not accurately show that the object was stationary and not moving, so my brother decided to take the camera upstairs and get some shots through the window with the help of a tripod. This enabled him to get a great shot of whatever it was that was up there. After about 10 or 15 minutes he came back outside and said that we needed to see what he taped. At times, a bright white light would seem to engulf the object, growing in intensity to a circular 'orb' and then retreating. When the light wasn't strong, the object did appear to be more than just light. For several moments, a row of three lights became visible on whatever it was, and they would blink red or green sporadically. We were all on our feet at this point, more interested in what it could be. We continued to take shots from outside as steadily as we could, knowing this wasn't just an airplane. We did see airplanes during this event, but they weren't at the same altitude nor flashing several colours. This object continued to remain stationary the entire time, while planes traveled in an easterly path. Whatever it was, it did get our attention. Someone suggested it could have been a satellite, although I have never witnessed what they look like before. We observed it for over an hour and a half before going inside after midnight. Whatever it was, it made for an 'interesting' night. "
