Lake Couchiching Late 1960s UFO Report
In the late 1960's my husband and I along with four friends saw an orange/red cigar shaped object in the low horizon off the tip of Big Chief Island in Lake Couchiching from our lakeshore property on the east side of Lake Couchiching (Lot 15 Front Range) near Longford Mills. It was early evening during a BBQ and we watched it for about 10 minutes. No sound, just a glowing/vibrating red/orange object which suddenly flew off in about a 45 degree angle towards the Orillia side and Lake Simcoe. We did not report this at the time for fear of sounding like a bunch of nut cases but regretted it later.
